Dharmendra further said that "When I was in sixth grade, some of my classmates were very excited to go to the cinema, and I used to ask them what is cinema. And, when I went to class X, I saw Dilip Kumar ji's film 'Shaheed' and I immediately fell in love with him and his acting skills. I felt like he was my brother. I was excited by the audience's love for him and I wanted to get the same myself.

जब धर्मेंद्र से पूछा गया कि आन फिल्म देखने के बाद वो दिलीप कुमार और प्रेम नाथ की नकल कैसे करते थे, तो इस सवाल पर उत्साहित धरम जी ने बताया, दिलीप कुमार जी की फिल्म ‘आन’ रिलीज हुई थी और मैंने इसे देखा क्योंकि मैं उनका बहुत बड़ा फैन था। इसलिए, मैं अपने घर से बाहर निकलकर फिल्म में दिखाई गई दिलीप साहब और प्रेम नाथ जी की एक्टिंग की नकल करने के लिए कहीं और जाता था. मुझमें उन्हें देखकर सीखने का जुनून था.”

When Dharmendra was asked how he used to imitate Dilip Kumar and Prem Nath after watching On film, Dharam ji excited to this question said, Dilip Kumar ji's film 'Aan' was released and I watched it because I He was a big fan.
