KTM Duke 990: Design
The headlight fairing on the KTM Duke 990 has been manufactured using a 3D printer. The KTM 990 Duke has been developed around an entirely new steel tube frame. The subframe is an aluminum diecast part, with an integrated airbox and air intake under the seat. It will have twin LED lamps, LED strips along the side headlamp units, slightly longer turn indicators atop the front fascia and new mirrors. Its front is similar to the 1290 Super Duke and 390 Duke. The swingarm has been given a solid design, while WP units can be found for the suspension and a new exhaust system has been given with a large collector below the engine.
KTM Duke 990: Features
Talking about the features, 990 Duke is equipped with LED lighting, USB Type C charger and 5-inch colored TFT screen. It has five riding modes. These include Rain, Street, Sport, Performance and Track modes. Apart from this, the bike will also have features like ABS disc brake and cruise control.
KTM Duke 990: Engine Performance
The Duke 990 Duke will get a modified version of the Duke 890 engine. Providing power is a new LC8c engine, which is Euro 5+ compliant. This is a 947 cc, parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine. Which produces 124 bhp power and 103 Nm torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
KTM has not yet given any information regarding the launch of KTM 990 Duke. But recent reports are claiming that this bike can be introduced in early 2024.
