Now the price of electric vehicle in the country will be less than ₹ 60,000, Nitin Gadkari announced..

Electric Vehicle: Gradually many changes are taking place in the automobile market. In such a situation, now people are preferring to buy Electric Vehicles (EV) instead of vehicles running on petrol and diesel. But people who like electric vehicles are still not able to buy them. The biggest main reason in the country is the high price of electric vehicles.

Although electrical vehicles are being subsidized by the government, still their price is much higher than vehicles running on petrol and diesel. But now if you also want to buy an electric car or bike, then there is a big good news for you. Recently, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has made a big announcement regarding Electric Vehicle (EV).

According to a recent news on Moneycontrol website, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has claimed that within the coming 1 year, the price of electric vehicles will be made at par with petrol vehicles. The Union Minister has given this statement that I want the price of Electric Vehicle (EV) to become equal to that of petrol vehicle within the coming 1 year. He said that with this we will be able to save foreign exchange spent on fossil fuels (petrol-diesel).

The Union Minister has informed that in an electric vehicle, the cost of its battery is more and hence it is expensive. Actually, 35 to 40% of the cost of a vehicle is spent in purchasing the battery. But on the basis of new technology and subsidy, the government is trying to reduce it. Along with this, charging stations are also being constructed at various places across the country so that after the arrival of Electric Vehicles (EVs), there is no problem of charging them. Apart from this, Nitin Gadkari has said that the EV category has registered huge growth. The demand for electric vehicles is continuously increasing due to which their sales have seen an increase of up to 800%.

when it will be done

From the announcement made by the Union Minister, it seems that the price of Electric Vehicle (EV) will be reduced in the coming time. But it may take some time. It is estimated that this may happen in late 2023 or early 2024. However, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has not made any announcement regarding how much the prices of EV will reduce or how much more subsidy the government will give on it.
